Presented in partnership with Yuri’s Night Celebration, this annual J.E.D.I. award recognizes an outstanding space community member, organization, or company that is actively working to break down barriers, uplift diverse voices, and create opportunities for all in the space industry.



Join us for a truly special moment during the main show presentation as Dr. Sian Proctor presents the J.E.D.I. Space Award—a prestigious honor celebrating those who are making space more Just, Equitable, Diverse, and Inclusive (J.E.D.I.) both on Earth and beyond.

We celebrate space at the observatory!  On April 12th it's all about space travel: How does it actually work, where have people already flown, how do we use space travel every day - and where should we go in the future? At the VEGA Observatory Haus der Natur we offer workshops for children and young people on the subject of space travel, where we learn how rockets work and also try to make our own rockets. But astronomy shouldn't be neglected either: when the weather is nice, we'll use our solar telescopes to take a close look at our star!
